Getting published
Cyber News Online provides you with a simple way to put your print edition online immediately for an unbelievably small investment – without taking on new staff or dedicating enormous resource to the project.
Producing an Online Edition
Cyber News Online is designed to simplify the process of producing an online edition. The workflow is as follows:
- Writers prepare their story as usual using Microsoft Word.
- When the print edition is finalized, the same Word document is used to produce a web-ready version of the story. Journalists or editors click the Word menu item Send to Cyber News Online. The Cyber Word to Web Wizard then automatically converts the story to a web-ready format and launches Cyber News Online Story Builder.
- The user reviews the story in Cyber News Online Story Builder, checks the category, headlines, summaries, etc and may optionally add images and tables of links.
- The user then clicks Send to Editor’s Inbox, and the Story is wrapped up and automatically transferred to the editor responsible for producing the online editions.
- The editor of the online edition uses Cyber News Online Editor’s Desk, which is similar to Story Builder but it includes additional functionality. It helps the editor to review and edit stories, build the front pages, schedule their release, and upload, manage and archive the online material.
- Finally, Cyber News Online Server Edition automatically manages the online edition, running silently in the background, 24 hours a day.
